Last year, I started my series of posts on show and tell items from A to Z to help parents (like me) who were scrambling to find a show and tell item for their kids at the last minute. I included foods from A to Z, books for each letter of the alphabet, and toys for every letter as well. I decided to dive a little deeper and create move comprehensive lists for toys that start with each letter from A to Z – and here I am sharing the list of toys that start with the letter M!
Whether you’re looking for toys that start with M for show and tell, you’re a teacher who likes to have letter-themed toys for your alphabet lessons, or you’re looking for a gift that starts with M for a special reason (maybe you’re shopping for gifts that start with the same letter as your child’s name), this list is a great way to get started!

19 Monkeys jumping on the bed! That’s a lot of monkeys! That’s how many monkeys come with this awesome STEM educational monkey counting toy. This toy teaches visual number recognition, counting and addition! Three levels for your baby genius to play with and enjoy getting smarter. This is a balancing game where one side holds the numbers and the other side holds the monkeys.
My kids never get tired of playing with fake money. They sell their bikes and even pay who gets to pick the show on tv. It is so funny to watch them bargain for certain items. They use the money when playing house and grocery store. Honestly, I have seen a major improvement in their addition and subtraction since they have started playing with the fake money.
This set comes with 20 of each bill, so your little ones will have plenty to split. Help them label items and see how well they can make a transaction.
Children absolutely love to dress up as something, or someone else. This 20 pack of masks will provide them many different options to change their character. These are all animal faces, so they can pretend to be the Lion King, or maybe Dumbo the Elephant. They can be a cute teddy bear and cuddle with Mama or Daddy. Dressing up is always fun. Let them change into all of them and see if they can match the animal sound to the mask.
Do you have a future superstar at your house? Maybe a young beat-boxer? This karaoke mic is perfect! It comes programmed with 30 songs that we all know, such as Jackson 5’s “ABC”, and Marvin Gaye’s “My Girl”. Also, this mic can be connected to any bluetooth device for additional music.
It comes with 4 voice modification options to add a bit of flare to their performance. Anyone can enjoy taking a step into the spotlight with this toy. Up to 8 straight hours! Let them sing their hearts out.
Minions Play-Doh Mold
Minions are super fun and little balls of energy, just like our children. Am I right? This play-doh set is a disco stage for the minions. This comes with plenty of yellow dough to make all the minions they want for the disco show. Molds for different hairdos and outfits.
Maybe grab the microphone that I just described and make a complete Broadway show featuring the Minions. That sounds epic!
We love playing with monster trucks at my house. Almost anything can be turned into a ramp. Couch pillows, notebooks, Amazon boxes, you name it.They are fun for inside or outside play. I encourage the kids to make their own dirt track outside and construct ramps out of their outside toys. This way I don’t have to worry about them going to fast up the ramp and hitting my tv or window. They get so excited. Some monster trucks come with their own ramps, but those are always too small for my kids, the bigger the better.
Magic Doodle Mat
Let me tell you about this amazing doodle mat. No mess! Do I have your attention? Reusable, also! All you need is water. Water added to the magic pens is what makes this mat magic. They draw on the white mat, and it turns into the colorful image that they have drawn. After about 5 to 10 minutes, it dries and disappears. No marker or paint stains on the walls or floor. No rainbow baby appearing from behind closed doors. Toxic free and mess free. Great, huh?
Mega Bloks are legos for little hands. Sometimes their tiny fingers and hands aren’t strong enough to maneuver the legos like they want. Mega Bloks are much bigger and easier to put together and take apart. Another perk is, they hurt way less when you step on these. Help your toddler build a castle or a toy plane. Maybe, see who can stack the blocks the highest without their block tower falling down. Mega Bloks are tons of fun!
This mermaid Barbie is super cool! Her tail lights up and moves, like she is actually swimming! Your child can press a button and make her tail light up and move, while she is out of water, and just pretend that she is swimming. However, once Barbie is placed in water, her tail automatically turns on. This beautiful mermaid is a great addition for your princess to play with anywhere, anytime.
Everyone loves music. This music mat comes with all the bells and whistles, well, not literally, but almost! Anyone can play on this mat. Babies who can’t even crawl are able to benefit from this simple toy. You can choose from 8 different instrument sounds, 10 different demo modes and 5 play modes. The kids can record and playback their masterpiece. Also, this mat is super easy to clean. It can be used indoors as well as outdoors, so no worries for dirty hands and feet, just wipe it clean. Great for parties, festivals and just fun at home.
I am one of those people who gets amazed by magic. I don’t fully understand how some of the tricks are performed, and I guess I enjoy it more, because of that. Children also love magic. And I’ll be honest, most of them are way better at it than me. Magic kits are a great toy for those who have fast hands and like to put on a show for an audience. This Magic kit comes with instructions on how to perform 350 tricks! Also, they will have access to the secret website where they can learn even more magic tricks.
Mini Markets are great! Just like the play money, my kids play for hours and hours shopping for food and snacks. They come up with some weird recipes, but it is so fun seeing them all get along while playing at the market. This set up comes with chalkboard signs so your children can write the daily specials. Also, it is complete with a moving conveyer belt, so they can get a more realistic feel that they are at a grocery store!
