18 Rockin’ Toys that Start with R

Sharing is caring!

Last year, I started my series of posts on show and tell items from A to Z to help parents (like me) who were scrambling to find a show and tell item for their kids at the last minute. I included foods from A to Z, books for each letter of the alphabet, and toys for every letter as well. I decided to dive a little deeper and create move comprehensive lists for toys that start with each letter from A to Z – and here I am sharing the list of toys that start with the letter R!

Whether you’re looking for toys that start with R for show and tell, you’re a teacher who likes to have letter-themed toys for your alphabet lessons, or you’re looking for a gift that starts with R for a special reason (maybe you’re shopping for gifts that start with the same letter as your child’s name), this list is a great way to get started!

Toys that Start With R

1. Robot

Kids are so into technology, I guarantee they will have a blast playing with their own robot friend. This robot is very easy to use. Not only does it have a remote with simple commands, but the robot even understands some hand gestures, such as stop, move forward and backup. Your child can program this robot up to 50 actions to do at one time.

2. Race Car Track

This race track is perfect for anyone age 3 and up, even adults. This track is made with electric cars that have metal brushes on the bottom which keeps them attached to the track. The remotes control how fast the cars go, and two cars can race at a time. The cars have the option to have a speed boost, but be careful not to boost at the wrong time, or your car may fly off the track and you lose. A very exciting addition to any game room.

3. Rocket Toy

Encourage outdoor play and exercise with this Stomp Rocket. No batteries required and this toy comes with 8 foam rockets, so multiple kids or adults can play along. See who can launch their rocket the highest or the furthest. You can adjust the angles to make the rocket go in whichever direction that you choose. Very fun and safe for anyone to use.

5. Radio 2-Way

Growing up, before I had a cell phone, I was allowed to use the two-way radio. It’s a kids version of a phone! And super fun! My kids love to play with their two-way radios. This is a three pack and in a neighborhood, these radios can reach each other from a mile away. Further if you are to go hiking in the mountains. Two-way radios are always a great idea to keep around, not just for fun, but safety reasons. You never know when towers will go out, and these radios also have multiple weather stations that they can connect to, and long-lasting rechargeable batteries.

6. Roller Skates

Let me just say, roller skating is one of the top voted activities by my kids. Classic fun that has never gone out of style. Great for exercise, even better for a good time. I would suggest elbow and knee pads, just in case, but even without them, these kids do not stop or give up when it comes to skating. If you don’t have pavement for them, go to a skating rink. Cheap fun and priceless memories. I guarantee the whole family will have a blast.

7. Ride On Car

10. Remote Control Car

It seems that every kid is so excited when they get a remote control car. The downside to most is the play time versus the charge time. With this remote control car, the charge time it only up to 1.5 hours instead of four hours. So they can play more through the day. Another awesome feature that this remote control car has is that it flips over and still can drive. This toy is not over priced making it a great choice.
